Other fibre applications

A broad range of industrial applications use short cut fibres and random cut fibre flocks which have been produced to accurate lengths by precision cutting, or more random lengths by grinding.

We have listed a number of the more developed usages in our key application areas, but there are also numerous products that have found applications in other areas. For example, in paper products, (filtration papers and audio speaker cones); automotive aftermarkets ( exhaust putty and tyre sealant); hygiene (incontinence products and dust masks); model making (modelling clays and artificial snow); cosmetics (mascara and nail varnishes); and construction (plasterboard and roofing felts).

Some of the grades in current usage include nylon fibres, viscose fibres, polyacrylonitrile fibres and polyester fibres of various lengths.
